Still Life
Broken Belief. With this piece the focus is meant to be on the statuette, which is a representation of the Wiccan Goddess. Since getting to uni my interest in wiccanism has decreased significantly. This image is meant to show items that used to show something of great significance to us, which now has no value. i.e. it is now nothing to us. However, you may notice the cauldron in the background which is lit up. The cauldron symbolises the womb, and candles new life. This is meant to hint at the idea that disinterest isn't forever, and nothingness is not a permanent state. This image was created in response to the PHOTOGRAPH OF NOTHING criteria set for our third image.
